Getty Images partners with Pantone and Tumblr to launch ‘Stories and Trends’

New site curates exclusive content ahead of New York and London fashion weeks SS2015

September 11, 2014 • Company News - NEW YORK – Getty Images, the global leader in digital media, has partnered with Pantone and Tumblr ahead of SS2015 fashion weeks in both New York and London in order to showcase and celebrate alternative fashion.
The partnership complements Getty Images new Stories and Trends content hub and dedicated fashion Tumblr launched as part of SS2015. Stories and Trends will feature a raft of exclusive content, including live coverage from fashion week tents, alternative point-of-views from Getty Images’ team of photographers, as well as street style shoots of fashion influencers and bloggers.
To launch the platform, Getty Images will be partnering with Pantone to illustrate this year’s SS2015 Pantone Fashion Color Report. Each year Pantone, the global authority on color, surveys designers at fashion week to deliver the foremost insight into the trends of the season. Getty Images will supplement this year’s report with content on Stories and Trends and on social media, featuring ‘best of’ galleries of Pantone color insights alongside its own creative and hot off the runway and fashion imagery.
Getty Images will also be celebrating its take on alternative fashion for SS2015 with its latest RePicture campaign, #RePictureStyle. #RePictureStyle looks at breaking down clichés and stereotypes around fashion imagery themes by encouraging people to share their take on what style means to them. As part of #RePictureStyle, Getty Images is encouraging bloggers to use their Embed tool to find the latest in fashion content, curating and sharing on their social media sites and blogs.
“The new Stories and Trends site is aimed at equipping our blogger user base with the best content and advice on creative fashion photography, via insights from top Getty Images photographers. We are thrilled to be so closely involved with fashion week this year and are excited to see what kind of authentic content will be shared through #RePictureStyle” said Judith Rich, Director, Content Marketing at Getty Images.
Getty Images will also be hosting events in New York and London with influential fashion photographers Andrew Walker (NYC) and Gareth Cattermole (UK) as speakers. The events will offer advice for budding fashion bloggers and also feature insightful talks from IMG and Tumblr.
