Asian stock photo company, Photokore, launches search functionality in Hindi

Stock photography company Photokore adds Hindi to its list of supported search languages, which already include English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean,  Indonesian and Thai. This makes www.photokore.com the first in its industry to cater to this many Asian languages.

Penetrating the booming Asian image market is the goal for many photographers. However, it has been difficult to reach the Asian image market due to an absence of a site where customers can search for images in their native tongue.

Photokore is eliminating this hurdle with their growing list of supported search languages.

“A popular misconception in the stock photography industry it that most image buyers speak and read English. The contrary is true in Asia. A huge segment of the Asian image buying market prefers searching for images in their local language. We listened to people on the ground in each local market, and are developing our site based on the needs of customers throughout Asia,” said Photokore’s CEO, Sean Mooney.
