Series of Panels and Events Showcase Power of Connecting Digital Content and Social Sharing
New York, NEW YORK—March 5, 2013—Getty Images, Inc., a leading creator and distributor of still imagery, video and multimedia products, today announced its presence at the 2013 South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival, March 8-17, in Austin, Texas. Getty Images panels and events will focus on the power of visual content in marketing, media and on social platforms, and the innovative company will elevate the conversation around visual media and its influence on brand communications in the social sphere.
Getty Images will also highlight The Feed by Getty Images, a transformative technology that is shifting how brands communicate content to their fans and followers on social platforms, and one of the brand’s many recent innovations. The Feed is a social integration that leverages Getty Images’ Connect API to match trending and newsworthy topics to visual content that is then pushed to social media platforms. This technology will be on display front-and-center via Getty Images’ website and social channels during SXSW as attendees and virtual participants can follow what is trending on the ground in a visually compelling way through #SXSWGetty.
