ImageCollect.com Library Grows to More Than 3,000,000 Images

Micro-Stock Celebrity Photo Marketplace Grows 2x in 3 Months

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 15, 2011 – AudioMicro, Inc., which operates a network of digital content licensing marketplaces, announced today that its celebrity picture marketplace, ImageCollect.com, now has more than three and a half million photos available for download.  With a robust collection of archival imagery and current content being supplied by top entertainment photographers, ImageCollect is on pace to become one of the world’s largest celebrity photo libraries, just eight months after launch.  ImageCollect.com has also launched a new version of its website, with a revamped user interface, more aggressive pricing, and a celebrity photo API.

“We’re incredibly excited about this landmark, but it is only a small sign of things to come,” said Ryan Born, chief executive officer, ImageCollect.  “We’re adding new celebrity pictures at a rate of approximately 40,000 images per day, with around 1.5 million photos still to be added.  We’ve simplified our pricing, and API partners are now utilizing our technology in unique ways to fulfill a growing demand for entertainment imagery.”

Celebrity photos in the ImageCollect library range from iconic archival material, such as shots of a young and exuberant JFK in the oval office, to photos of today’s biggest stars attending red carpet events.  ImageCollect aims to disrupt the celebrity photo market by applying the micro-stock business model of successful sites like iStockphoto, Shutterstock, and Fotolia to the editorial licensing space.  The company strives to make celebrity imagery available to new media buyers and fans under simple pricing and licensing terms.  Early customers include People Magazine, US Weekly, Life & Style, Tribune Media Services, NY Times Magazine, and Star Magazine, among many others.
